Manager, IT Asset Management

Experteer Overview In this role you guide the ITAM program within a complex enterprise, owning software and hardware asset lifecycle, licensing, compliance, and governance. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to optimize technology investments, manage risk, and ensure audit readiness. The position emphasizes data accuracy, cost control, and scalable asset practices across the organization. You will lead a team and shape enterprise-wide asset governance to support strategic priorities and regulatory requirements. Compensation / Benefits * Define and lead ITAM strategy, governance, and operating practices aligned with business, compliance, and technology objectives * Manage ITAM staff, including performance management, development, and resource allocation * Oversee ITAM processes to ensure priorities, deliverables, and compliance requirements are met * Develop and improve asset management policies, controls, and governance frameworks * Lead end-to-end software asset lifecycle management: acquisition, entitlement tracking, licensing, renewals, compliance, optimization, and audit readiness * Oversee hardware asset lifecycle: inventory, CMDB, and coordination with infrastructure and support teams for deployment, recovery, and disposal * Maintain accurate software inventories, license entitlements, hardware records, and contractual data * Monitor license utilization and hardware trends to optimize investments, forecast, and reduce costs * Partner with stakeholders to manage software agreements, asset records, and contractual compliance * Lead reporting, audits, remediation, and process improvements to enhance ITAM capabilities Tasks * 5-7 years in IT Asset Management or related asset governance discipline * Experience with asset lifecycle management, software licensing, inventory, data governance, and audits * Experience partnering with procurement, finance, legal, vendors, and IT operations * Strong knowledge of ITAM frameworks and software asset management practices * Experience with enterprise asset management platforms (preferred: ServiceNow SAM/HAM, Microsoft MECM, Intune, Snow Software) * Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements * Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Key requirements * Medical, dental and vision coverage * Retirement plans * Paid time off * Employer-paid life and disability insurance * Tuition program * Well-being benefits
