Job description
Experteer Overview In this Software Engineer role, you will operationalize machine learning solutions and build cloud-hosted applications to support AI and research initiatives in the Cardiovascular Systems Unit. You’ll translate clinical and research requirements into production-ready services, working with data scientists, engineers, and clinicians to scale and maintain high-uptime systems. The position combines cloud, big data, and ML with DevOps practices to deliver impactful tools for patient care. You’ll join a collaborative, mission-driven team that values learning and technical excellence. Compensation / Benefits * Develop cloud-based microservices for data warehousing, analytics, and ML workloads * Collaborate with product owners and architects to translate requirements into code * Participate in DevOps, Agile, CI/CD practices and deployment automation * Integrate clinical systems and support AI/ML model hosting in production * Ensure services meet uptime, resilience, and performance targets * Document processes and source code; contribute to root cause analysis and troubleshooting * Work with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to deliver required applications * Maintain knowledge of organization processes and customer needs Tasks * Bachelor’s or Associates’ degree in CS/Engineering or related field (see education note) * 1+ year of software development experience or internships; 2+ years coding in high-level languages (Go, Python, Java, C/C#, etc.) * Strong problem-solving and time management skills * Experience with modern application development frameworks * Understanding of SDLC practices: coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations * Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams * Experience with Agile development methodologies Key requirements * medical: multiple plan options * dental: Delta Dental or reimbursement account * vision: affordable plan * pre-tax savings: HSA and FSAs * retirement: competitive retirement package
