Experteer Overview In this role, you will help design and operate Goldman Sachs’ data and compute infrastructure, enabling scalable, reliable applications. You’ll work across datacenter design, networks, storage, and cloud solutions to support on-demand performance. You’ll apply automation and machine learning to improve stability, monitor health, and respond to incidents, while contributing to disaster recovery and business continuity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resilient, data-driven infrastructure at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Contribute to the design and development of the firm’s computer and data infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions for scalable applications * Develop and implement automated testing processes, standards and tools * Apply data mining and machine learning techniques to identify and react to infrastructure problems * Identify, analyze, and resolve application issues; document repetitive error resolutions to reduce operational errors * Develop and monitor reports to track application health and performance * Monitor production risk and change management processes * Automate failures and analyze discrepancies to improve stability and performance * Review production incidents and coordinate communication with users, owners, vendors, and stakeholders * Develop sustainable systems via automation, performance tuning and database queries * Assist with business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning and contingency planning Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field * three (3) years of experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting application issues (Oracle, code debugging, or log analysis) * three (3) years of experience with UNIX-based software development (Shell scripting or Python) * experience designing and supporting database systems (DB2 or Sybase ASE) * experience with SDLC (requirements, design, coding, testing, release, support) * SQL performance tuning and diagnosing performance issues via query plans * systems management for Windows platforms (e.g., Microsoft Configuration Manager) Key requirements *
