Job description
Experteer Overview In this role you will help design, build and operate Goldman Sachs’ data and compute infrastructure. You will work across datacenters, networks, storage, cloud environments and software, driving scalable, automated solutions. You’ll apply ML and data-mining to detect issues and improve stability, while contributing to disaster recovery and business-continuity planning. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high availability and performance of critical applications, shaping the firm’s infrastructure strategy. Compensation / Benefits * Develop expertise across engineering domains including datacenter design, networks, storage, grid compute, OS, databases, and market data systems * Design and implement on-demand cloud-based solutions to scale applications * Create automated testing processes, standards and tooling * Apply data mining and machine learning to identify/investigate infrastructure issues * Identify, document and resolve repeating errors to reduce operational incidents * Develop and monitor reports to track application health and service performance * Monitor risk in production and support change management processes * Automate failure handling and performance tuning via ML techniques * Review production incidents and communicate with stakeholders * Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning and testing Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related fields * two years of experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting, log analysis, and debugging * experience with Windows and UNIX, including shell scripting * SDLC experience from requirements through support * cloud systems monitoring, tuning, and DR solution design * systems management for Windows platforms (e.g., Microsoft Configuration Manager) * experience with public cloud providers (Azure, AWS) and IaC scripting for resource deployment Key requirements *
