Job description
Experteer Overview In this role you will help design and harden Goldman Sachs’ data infrastructure, spanning datacenters, networks, storage, and cloud-based solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to enable on-demand scaling and maintain high system reliability. You’ll automate testing, apply data mining and ML to detect infrastructure issues, and support disaster recovery and incident response. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on scalable, automated, and resilient platforms that power the firm’s applications. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and enhance firm-wide data infrastructure including datacenter, networks, storage, and cloud-based solutions for scalable applications * Create and refine automated testing processes, standards, and tools * Apply data mining and machine learning to identify and respond to infrastructure issues * Identify, analyze, and resolve application issues; document repetitive resolutions to reduce operational errors * Develop and monitor reports for application health and service performance * Monitor production risk and change management processes * Automate failure handling and performance tuning using ML techniques * Review production incidents and communicate with stakeholders * Develop sustainable systems through automation, performance tuning, and database queries * Assist with business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field * three years of experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting application issues using Oracle, code debugging, or log analysis * software development using UNIX, Shell scripting, or Python * designing and supporting databases using DB2 or Sybase ASE * experience with full SDLC including requirements, design, coding, testing, release, and support * SQL performance tuning and diagnosing issues via execution plans and DR setup * systems management for Windows platforms (e.g., Microsoft Configuration Manager) Key requirements *
