Experteer Overview In this role you help build and scale Goldman Sachs’ data infrastructure and platforms. You work across datacenter design, networks, storage, and software languages to implement cloud-based solutions that enable on-demand scaling. You automate testing, monitor application health, and apply ML-driven approaches to identify and resolve infra issues. You collaborate with stakeholders to improve stability, performance, and risk management, shaping resilient, automated systems aligned with the firm’s mission. Compensation / Benefits * Develop expertise across engineering domains including datacenter design, networks, storage, grid compute, operating systems, databases, communications, market data and software languages * Design and develop the firm’s computer and data infrastructure; identify internal hardware and implement public and private cloud solutions for on-demand scaling * Assist in creating automated testing processes, standards, solutions and tools * Apply data mining and machine learning to identify and react to infrastructure and platform problems * Identify, analyze, and resolve application issues; document repetitive error resolutions to minimize operational errors * Develop and monitor reports to track and manage application health and performance * Monitor production risk and change management processes * Improve application stability and performance by automating failures using ML techniques and analyzing discrepancies and trends * Review and assess production incidents; communicate with users, application owners, vendors and stakeholders * Develop sustainable systems through automation, performance tuning and database queries * Assist with business continuity planning and disaster recovery and plan contingency measures Tasks * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field with 1 year of experience OR Bachelor’s degree in same fields with 3 years of experience * Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting application issues using Oracle, code debugging, or log analysis * Software development experience using UNIX, Shell scripting, or Python * Database system design and support using DB2 or Sybase ASE * Experience with SDLC including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, release and support * SQL performance tuning and diagnosing potential performance issues via query plans and disaster recovery setup * Windows systems management experience (e.g., Microsoft Configuration Manager) Key requirements *
