Job description

You will be responsible for handling queries, maintaining accurate records on our data systems and providing administrative support to the whole team. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work flexibly while ensuring individuals receive timely and effective support.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is flexible, confident, and able to thrive in a busy team environment. You’ll need to manage work effectively and be able to travel across the county when required. The role is based in Whitstable, with the option for hybrid home working. Full induction, training, and equipment will be provided. We’re looking for a confident, proactive, and positive individual to join our Arranging Support Placements Team in a permanent Administration role. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in administration, customer service, purchasing, or procurement who is keen to grow professionally within the social care sector and contribute to the work of the local authority. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel is essential. What We’re Looking For:

This is a customer-facing role. Under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016), Kent County Council has a statutory duty to ensure post holders have sufficient command of spoken English/Welsh to perform the role effectively. Standards are outlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.
