Requirements

  • Power BI - report development, dashboards and visualisation
  • DAX - measures and calculated columns
  • SQL/T-SQL - querying and data manipulation
  • Data Modelling - preferably Star Schema
  • Power Query/M
  • Understanding of ETL/data integration
  • Good understanding of data quality and BI best practice
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable

  • Microsoft Fabric/Lakehouse experience
  • Azure Data Factory or Synapse
  • Python/PySpark
  • Data Warehousing
  • Medallion Architecture
  • Experience improving or developing existing BI environments
  • Exposure to metadata-driven data solutions
  • Microsoft certification in Power BI/Fabric
  • Financial Services

Financial Services experience is desirable, particularly experience working with complex data, reporting or regulatory requirements.
