Job description

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex infrastructure issues, coordinating cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
  • Partner with infrastructure, networking, security, and application engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise virtualization initiatives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise virtual desktop solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of the virtual desktop environment.
  • Configure, administer, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by advising application developers on methodologies to identify application compatibility, security considerations, and troubleshooting approaches as applications are migrated or upgraded within Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix environments.
  • Develop disaster recovery documentation, including installation procedures, configuration guidance, and application deployment instructions to support post-disaster recovery operations.
  • Actively participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in technical working groups and engineering activities related to Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
  • Provide technical insight to translate business requirements into technical solutions that support published applications within a geographically distributed enterprise, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Citrix environment.
  • Publish and maintain VA-required applications within the Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Analyze and resolve performance issues identified through infrastructure monitoring and diagnostic tools, including Wireshark, ControlUp, Microsoft Performance Monitor, and related technologies., * Willing and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Five (5) years of relevant systems administration or enterprise infrastructure experience.
  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience administering Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (formerly XenDesktop/XenApp), or comparable enterprise virtualization platforms.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server and enterprise virtual desktop environments.
  • Experience using ServiceNow for IT service management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional technical teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment., * Experience supporting large-scale federal or enterprise IT environments.Familiarity with endpoint security, compliance, or device management practices.
  • Exposure to enterprise deployment automation, scripting, or operational reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional engineering or infrastructure initiatives.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, JAMF, or related certifications are preferred.

Benefits & conditions

Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $114,566.40 - $129,854.40 annually. Kentro determines compensation by evaluating current government contracting and commercial market conditions, as well as the role’s specific requirements.
