Roadway Programs Technician 1

As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Data Management:Enter, review, and analyze roadway and materials data to support maintenance planning

• Inventory Tracking:Monitor material quantities, process load slips, and maintain accurate inventory records

• Contract Oversight:Coordinate with contractors, verify completed work, and ensure proper documentation

• Field Reviews:Visit sites to gather information, inspect guiderail damage, and document roadway conditions

• Customer Service:Communicate with internal staff, contractors, and the public to address questions and concerns

• Safety Support:Follow safety protocols and assist with reporting hazards and accidents

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ;or

• One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent;or

• An Associate’s Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program;or

• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree., Do you possess at least one year of full-time experience in the analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment?, How many years of full-time paraprofessional-level experience in the fields of business administration, computer science, highway engineering technology, or a closely related field do you possess?, Do you possess an associate’s degree or higher in one of the following majors: Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology, or a closely related field?
