Data Solution Engineer

Work across the full lifecycle including requirements capture, solution development, integration and operation. Skills & experience * Experience designing, implementing and integrating data solutions in UK Defence or Public Sector. * Proven experience building data pipelines in a cloud environment such as Azure, AWS or GCP. * Hands-on experience with data ingest, transformation and persistence technologies. * Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data, including schemas, ontologies and taxonomies. * Experience with CI/CD techniques and the quality mechanisms that support them. * Experience working within an Agile development framework. * Degree-level qualification in a STEM subject or equivalent experience. * Ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to a range of internal and external stakeholders. The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential: * Knowledge of data schemas and exchange specifications used in Defence. * Understanding of secure by design principles for data at rest and data in transit. * Knowledge of data transport in DDIL environments and solutions for compute or storage constrained systems. * Familiarity with how data solutions feed into AI and ML applications. * Scrum Master and/or Product Owner experience. * Knowledge of commercial and contractual frameworks.
