Job description
Join a growing team designing natural gas, utility, and infrastructure projects that power communities. In this fully remote role, you’ll create pipeline, facility, and public improvement plans using AutoCAD while collaborating with engineers and project teams across the country.
This position is ideal for a designer who enjoys turning technical information into accurate, construction-ready plans and wants the flexibility of remote work with the opportunity to take ownership of increasingly complex projects.
What You’ll Do
- Design pipeline, facility, and public improvement projects from concept through construction.
- Create site plans, plan & profile drawings, cross-sections, alignments, elevations, and construction packages.
- Develop and maintain drawing packages using AutoCAD, Sheet Set Manager, and X-Refs.
- Review survey data, utility locates, environmental reports, geotechnical information, and site plans.
- Coordinate third-party CAD files and project documentation to support design development.
- Prepare permit and construction drawings that meet project and regulatory requirements.
- Apply pipeline and utility design principles to deliver practical, constructible solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements
Drawing Visionary Innovation Natural Gas Detail Oriented Project Management Project Documentation, * Strong AutoCAD experience, including Sheet Set Manager and X-Refs.
- Experience with pipeline, gas utility, or utility infrastructure design.
- Ability to create detailed construction drawings and design packages.
- Knowledge of plan/profile drawings, alignments, cross-sections, and site development plans.
- Experience interpreting survey data, utility locates, environmental reports, and geotechnical information.
- Understanding of gas distribution systems, pipeline design, and construction practices.
- Familiarity with permitting requirements and permit-ready drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Drafting certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting gas utility, pipeline, or infrastructure projects.
- Background in natural gas design and distribution systems.
- Experience coordinating survey and third-party CAD data.
