Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of its IT support team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional technical support while mentoring a team of desktop support professionals in a fast-paced educational environment. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with excellent communication skills who is fluent in both English and Spanish and has experience supporting users in a school or educational setting. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of Desktop Support Technicians
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily support requests to ensure timely resolution
- Provide hands-on desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral support when needed
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and end-user issues
- Support Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business applications
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and workstation deployments
- Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and replacements
- Ensure IT support tickets are resolved within established service levels
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and IT assets
- Partner with school administrators, faculty, and staff to deliver outstanding customer service
- Assist with IT projects, technology rollouts, and classroom technology support
Requirements
- 5+ years of Desktop Support experience
- 2+ years of experience leading or supervising an IT support team
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Previous experience working in a K-12 school, school district, college, or educational environment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows 10/11
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- Printers and peripherals
- Basic networking concepts
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT asset management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users, * Experience supporting classroom technology
- Experience with Google Workspace for Education
- Knowledge of audiovisual classroom equipment
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
