Job description
Wilder Systems builds robots that do precision work across aerospace manufacturing and MRO - drilling, fastening, sanding, and inspection - on systems deployed to factory floors and flight lines worldwide. Youâll be the bridge between Wilderâs robotic systems and the customers who run them: turning customer requirements into deployable applications, proving them out on real hardware, and carrying them through training and feedback in the field. Youâll work across mechanical, controls, software, and vision disciplines on real systems, at a company small enough that you own real work, not a slice of a backlog., Youâll own pieces of the full lifecycle that takes a robotic system from a customer requirement to a proven, deployed application:
- Requirements & project ownership - translate customer needs into specifications, objectives, requirements, and timelines, and drive projects from definition through delivery.
- Systems integration - work across interdisciplinary teams and subsystems, integrating sensors and motion systems (encoders, laser range finders, camera optics, load cells, and more) into applications that hold up on the factory floor.
- Test & validation - develop and execute test protocols, document results according to industry-standard requirements, and prove the system on real hardware.
- Customer delivery - deliver products to customers, run training, and iterate on the application based on field feedback.
- Engineering definition - apply CAD, GD&T, engineering drawings, and metrology concepts to define and verify how an application meets customer demand.
Requirements
- Experience with interdisciplinary teams and systems.
- Strong understanding of sensors and motion systems (encoders, laser range finders, camera optics, load cells, etc.).
- Track record of product delivery to customers, including specification requirements, training, and feedback iteration.
- Developed and executed test protocols and documented results according to industry-standard requirements.
- Experience with object-oriented programming.
- Experience with CAD, GD&T, reading engineering drawings, and metrology concepts.
- Creating and executing on objectives, requirements, and timelines for projects.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with robotic arms, especially FANUC and Universal Robots systems.
- Understanding of aerospace processes (drilling, routing, welding).
- Masterâs degree in computer science, robotics, mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering.
- Aerospace and MRO experience.
