Job description
As a Data Analyst for Laufer Group International, your work will directly influence how we optimize operations, improve performance, and scale smarter through data.
In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the organization to deliver actionable insights, dashboards, and data solutions that improve decision-making and business performance. You’ll work closely with an elite technology team to transform complex data into clear, impactful reporting while continuously identifying opportunities to optimize processes.
This is an ideal opportunity for a data-driven professional with strong SQL, Power BI, and data visualization skills who thrives in a fast-paced logistics / global trade environment., * Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and business intelligence reports to support operational and strategic decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver scalable data solutions
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries (including subqueries, joins, and window functions)
- Perform SQL performance tuning to improve query efficiency and system performance
- Partner with application development teams to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Support testing and validation of internally developed applications and data workflows
- Analyze data trends and provide insights to improve processes, quality, and operational efficiency
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, or Analytics role
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, data modeling concepts)
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar BI tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, INDEX/MATCH, data analysis)
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights
- Experience working with large, complex, or unstructured datasets, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Analytical, curious, and proactive mindset with a drive to understand the “why” behind the data and own solutions end-to-end
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
- Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, systems, and technologies
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or NVOCC is a plus (or strong interest in learning)
