Job description

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to employees and escalate complex issues when required.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking issues.
  • Support end user and office devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve Microsoft 365 user issues.
  • Support administration of user accounts and permissions.
  • Support administration of Exchange Online.
  • Support administration of SharePoint Online.
  • Support administration of OneDrive.
  • Support administration of Microsoft Teams.
  • Support administration of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Configure, deploy and support Windows devices.
  • Manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune while maintaining security standards.
  • Manage software deployment and keep systems up to date.
  • Maintain IT asset registers and equipment inventories.
  • Support LAN, WAN and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Assist with and maintain documentation of network infrastructure.
  • Monitor security alerts and events.
  • Support Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance activities.
  • Assist with vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Manage Entra and Intune security policies.
  • Promote good cyber and security awareness.
  • Produce and maintain clear documentation for systems and processes.
  • Assist with IT projects and technology improvement initiatives.
  • Support the continuous improvement of IT systems across the business.

Requirements

  • Experience providing IT support within a business environment.
  • Experience of using Microsoft 365/Azure.
  • Experience with Windows OS.
  • Experience working with networking environments.
  • Understanding of cyber security processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • One or more of the following certifications is desirable: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certification, Cisco CCNA, or IT Fundamentals (Level 1-3).
  • Desirable experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
  • Desirable experience with Microsoft Defender.
  • Desirable experience in Cyber Essentials and ISO27001 environments.
  • Desirable experience with firewalls and network security technologies.
  • Desirable experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Desirable experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Desirable experience with SharePoint administration.
  • Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National.
  • The successful applicant may be required to complete National Security Vetting, which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks.
  • Qualification will normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
  • A short cover letter must be included with the CV.
