Programmer Analyst (Ref# PA820SRR)

Work location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Duties: Under direct supervision, assist in the analysis, implementation, coding, documentation, maintenance, and support of computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems for client projects. Write specifications and reports, code, test, and debug computer programs. Review user requests and software program requirements for new and modified programs. Run and test applications developed using AI models, generate test cases using LLMs, document results, and work with development team to enhance the application. Identify client requirements by detailed discussions/meetings with client, functional users, functional/technical consultants, and product owners to collect requirement specifications, metrics, and key performance indicators. Review system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested change is possible within existing system. Analyze business problems in the existing system by collaborating with end users. Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate the software architecture that meets client requirements in an effective and cost-efficient manner. Create in-detail technical specifications for application software to be performed by the development team. Review design ideas and prototype with product owners and development team. Provide innovative solutions to complex system problems. Review technical design specifications and code new or modify existing programs as per the design requirements. Prepare test plans based on the system requirements specification. Inspect test results for accuracy and completeness. Ensure the desired quality standards and the system functionality are being met. Provide application technical support and maintenance activities for enhanced system functionality. Interact with end-users and troubleshoot production issues. Use of Python, Scala, SQL, PySpark, AWS (Lambda, S3, Glue, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, EKS, RDS, QuickSight), Docker, GIT, Jenkins, Splunk, Terraform, Selenium, and Windows.

Position requires 2 years of experience with Python, SQL, AWS, Jenkins, Docker, and GIT., Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Software Engineer, Test Engineer, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree in any field of study plus 3 years of experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with Python, SQL, AWS, Jenkins, Docker, and GIT. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
