Job description
The Senior Conversion Data Analyst performs research and requirement analysis, creation and design of mapping documents, and present findings to appropriate team members, clients, and vendors. Will also determine best practices and provide suggestions on how to improve current practices., · Creates accurate conversion mappings according to the mapping process using the MapTool application.
· Works toward delivering completed mappings that will be input to the conversion development process.
· Presents analysis and mapping recommendations to lead MITA teams, customer and/or vendors for mapping approval.
· Supports the Conversion developers and all supporting business/technical teams based on the mappings created.
· Works closely with configuration team and DBAs to ensure synchronicity of configuration to interfaces and mappings.
· Refines mappings as business requirements are solutioned and resolved.
· Develops crosswalks for Legacy and target data schemas.
· Uses SQL, data models, data element dictionary and schema to perform data and business analysis.
· Creates and executes unit test cases for area of responsibility.
· Validates test plan results that satisfy the detailed design goals thorough Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing

Requirements
1) QNXT/Schema knowledge
2) Healthcare/business knowledge in member, eligibility, TPL, claims/encounters processing (medical and pharmacy), financial, and provider
3) Good/Excellent SQL skills
4) Requirements gathering
5) Data Mapping experience
6) Conversion Experience
7) Good Oral/Written communication skills
The candidate needs to be able to create conversion mapping rules/transformation logic based on the business rules of the target solution. Perform analysis of legacy data to understand transformation requirements and test converted data to ensure business requirements are successfully met and work with internal teams and the client to resolve mapping questions and receive mapping approval., · Analytical and data analysis skills within a technical environment preferably SQL
· Healthcare knowledge within a claims processing environment preferably in Medicaid
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to develop crosswalks between legacy and target solutions
· Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act(HIPAA)
· Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers
· 5 years of healthcare business analytical experience
· 3 years of technical/SQL experience
