Job description

For an innovative company in the aerospace industry located in the Bremen area, we are seeking a Hardware Development Engineer (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date. This position is offered as a direct hire (permanent placement) opportunity. Ihre Aufgaben:

  • Contribute to national and international R&D projects focused on developing advanced space technologies beyond the current state of the art
  • Design and develop digital and analog electronic circuits for space applications, with a focus on high-speed digital interfaces
  • Create schematics and complex multi-layer HDI PCB layouts using Altium Designer
  • Select and qualify EEE components for different hardware models, including EM, EQM, and FM
  • Perform circuit simulations and design verification using industry-standard tools such as SPICE
  • Prepare technical documentation and analyses, including worst-case, derating, reliability, and power analyses
  • Collaborate closely with Systems Engineering teams and support external manufacturing processes, including PCB fabrication and board assembly
  • Commission, test, and validate developed hardware, including electrical and environmental testing, and represent project achievements at technical conferences and workshops

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable qualification, with ideally 3+ years of experience in circuit design, analysis, and commissioning, preferably within the aerospace industry
  • Strong experience in digital and analog hardware development, including schematic design and PCB layout with Altium Designer
  • Solid knowledge of circuit simulation, hardware verification, testing, troubleshooting, and reliability analyses
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken; German language skills are considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary and international environments
