Distinguished, Product Manager, Automated Warehouse Management Systems

What you’ll do… As a Distinguished Product Manager at Walmart, you will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for defining and driving enterprise-wide product strategy for next-generation fulfillment and warehouse management capabilities. You will shape organizational capabilities by translating business needs, operational challenges, customer insights, and technology opportunities into scalable product strategies and long-term investments. Working across Product, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Automation teams, you will influence product vision, lifecycle decisions, and technology adoption. This role requires strategic leadership, systems thinking, and cross-functional influence to drive innovation, operational excellence, scalability, and enterprise value across highly automated fulfillment ecosystems.

• Demonstrates deep understanding of highly automated fulfillment center operations, including goods-to-person workflows, robotic orchestration, inventory movement optimization, and real-time execution systems.
• Shapes product strategy for large-scale warehouse management platforms operating across complex automation ecosystems such as ASRS, shuttles, AMRs, conveyors, sortation, and automated storage technologies.
• Drives cross-functional alignment between software, operations, controls engineering, automation vendors, and supply chain stakeholders to deliver resilient and scalable fulfillment capabilities.
• Brings strong systems-thinking across distributed operational platforms, balancing throughput, latency, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, and operational recoverability in mission-critical environments.
• Influences long-term architecture and product evolution for modern warehouse execution and warehouse management ecosystems, including integration patterns with home-grown and enterprise operational platforms.
• Operates effectively in environments where software, automation hardware, controls systems, and operational processes must function as a tightly integrated ecosystem.
• Applies data-driven decision making to optimize fulfillment performance, exception management, flow orchestration, and continuous improvement initiatives across automated FC networks.
• Partners closely with engineering and operational leaders to translate emerging fulfillment technologies and automation capabilities into scalable product roadmaps and business outcomes.
• Navigates ambiguity and drives strategic clarity in fast-evolving operational environments involving next-generation automation, AI-assisted decisioning, and intelligent warehouse execution.
• Serves as a thought leader for next-generation fulfillment product innovation, helping define industry-leading approaches to scalable, adaptive, and resilient automated supply chain operations.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 10 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
