Job description
The Software (SW) Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products focusing on mobile apps. This role involves executing and optimizing manual and automated tests, conducting thorough testing processes, and collaborating with team members to support automation practices. The position is integral to maintaining compliance with medical industry standards while contributing to ongoing innovation in diabetes management technologies., * Perform testing on a wide range of mobile devices (different brands and models), creating and updating datasets for automation scripts
- Conduct BLE and NFC compatibility testing across various devices and operating systems
- Tailor manual testing solutions to meet the specific needs of the medical industry, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and operational efficiency
- Identify and propose improvements to testing processes that increase efficiency and reliability
- Produce clear, high-quality documentation for all testing systems and updates, ensuring compliance with medical industry standards
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java and/or Python
- Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases (based on those requirements) and execute test cases
- Review deliverables/activities as identified in the test plans for accuracy, consistency, completeness and compliance. Ensure adequate test coverage for every release.
- Review code diff analysis and contribute to robust regression test strategy
- Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs, verify fixes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (± 16 years)
- 2+ years’ experience in Mobile Testing (iOS/Android)
- Experience in BLE testing
- Moderate level of understanding of test-driven methodologies
- Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience writing or maintaining automation scripts in Java and/or Python
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought
Nice-to-haves
- Experience of working in a regulated industry
- Medical Device experience strongly preferred
- Smart Watch or wearable application testing experience
- Moderate level of knowledge with continuous integration & continuous development (CI/CD)
