About the company

Linchpin Software is a specialized software development firm supporting a federal agency in the National Capital Region. We are expanding our team and looking for a senior DevOps engineer who thinks like a developer - someone who automates relentlessly, treats infrastructure as code, and would rather script a solution than repeat a manual task.

This is an opportunity to join a mature program while working alongside experienced engineers, contributing to the automation, reliability, and modernization of mission-critical systems. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who lives at the intersection of software development and operations, and who is excited to build and lead the pipelines, tooling, and infrastructure that keep a high-performing engineering team moving fast.

We are building software differently. Our team actively leverages AI-augmented development tools (such as coding agents) to accelerate automation, streamline debugging, and improve overall engineering quality. If you are curious, adaptable, and eager to multiply your capabilities with modern tools, you will fit right in.
