Security Design Engineer

As a Security Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed security system designs and technical documentation for a range of commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure clients. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers., * Produce detailed security system designs including CCTV, access control, and intruder detection using CAD and/or Revit software.

• Develop schematic drawings, equipment schedules, and cable calculations to support installation teams.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet specification and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out site surveys and design reviews at key project stages to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation in line with company and client standards.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in security system design within the fire and security sector.
• Proficiency in CAD and/or Revit for the production of security design drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Full UK driving licence.
• FIA Design qualification (desirable).
• ECS/CSCS card (desirable).
