Lead Cloud Developer

This Cambridge tech company is looking to hire a Lead Developer to manage a small development team (providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring) whilst (as a team) building robust software for cloud-based applications. Key aspects will include system architecting, technology selection and interfaces, hence a broad understanding of modern cloud technologies and coding languages is needed. These projects impact the company’s core technology that focuses on robotics.

• Demonstrable software development skills honed through significant professional experience. Will be very familiar with the full software life-cycle and understand the commercial constraints on projects and technical resources.
• Experience in technical leadership including exposure to Agile.
• Technical skills will include Python (although JavaScript would also be considered). These will be coupled with extensive project experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS); front-end and back-end development; and continuous integration.
• Further exposure to modern cloud, data and devops technologies would be highly desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take charge of a small team and contribute to the success of this growing company. The role can be partly done remotely, but it is expected that there would be times that they are to be at the Cambridge offices.
