Job description

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and enterprise applications.
  • Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource utilization; proactively resolve issues.
  • Implement security measures, patches, and updates to protect systems and data.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory or similar platforms.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across the organization.
  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to deploy new systems, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Monitor and manage network devices, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, including training as needed.
  • Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and system optimization projects.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, IT best practices, and cybersecurity trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in system administration, network administration, or IT operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux/Unix systems, networking, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with Active Directory, group policies, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
  • Understanding of system monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery processes.

Preferred Skills / Duties

  • Certifications such as Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or VMware VCP.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid IT environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with IT security, endpoint management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced IT environment.
