Job Title: Lead Desktop Engineer

Client: Elite Buy-Side Trading Firm

Salary: Up to £150k + Bonus

Location: London (Hybrid)

An Technology Driven Trading Firm is looking for a highly talented Lead Desktop Engineer with financial services experience to join and lead an elite group in group of individuals.

This team have an unlimited tech budget, promote a great culture and are made up of fantastic like-minded individuals.

Role

Leading a small team across all L1-L3 issues
Spending time working on mission-critical infrastructure projects
Automating anything and everything
Continuing to expand both their on-prem and cloud storage offering
Working across different OS.

Skills

6+ years of experience as a Desktop Engineer/Systems Administrator within financial services - ideally for a trading firm
Some experience leading a small team and being the contact point to the business for that team
Strong knowledge of automation e.g. PowerShell
Good understanding of the Windows Infrastructure stack (Server, O365, AD)
Experience with VMware or Hyper V
Familiarity with storage is a plus (both on-prem and cloud)
A Computer Science Degree is heavily advantageous but not essential
