Job description

What You Would Do

Developing and maintaining Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring frameworks
Building and integrating microservices architectures with a focus on scalability and performance
Working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP to deploy and manage applications
Implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes
Collaborating with teams to design and implement RESTful APIs
Writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to code reviews
Working with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Supporting the development of distributed systems and data pipelines

What You Could Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Strong experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Framework)
Working knowledge of microservices architecture and API development
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation practices
Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
Experience with version control and collaborative development practices
Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have experience could include

Oracle Certified Associate or Oracle Certified Professional Java SE certification
Spring Professional certification (VMware)
Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code practices
Knowledge of Linux and bash scripting
Exposure to data quality, ETL pipelines or Power BI
Experience with SAP systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE)
