Job description
Java development expertise is in demand across modern digital transformation programmes. This is an opportunity to register your interest in Java Developer positions where you could contribute to building scalable, cloud-native applications using Spring Boot, microservices architecture and distributed systems technology., Roles of this type sit within delivery teams modernising enterprise applications and building new microservices-based solutions. You could be working on projects that span API development, cloud migration to Azure or AWS, and containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. The work typically involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet both current and future scaling requirements., * Designing and developing microservices and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Contributing to the architecture of distributed systems and cloud-native applications
- Writing and maintaining code that integrates with Azure or AWS cloud platforms
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines and containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborating on database design and optimisation using SQL
- Working with frontend technologies such as React to support full-stack delivery
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to technical standards within the team
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot frameworks
- Demonstrable experience building microservices and working with APIs
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Oracle Certified Associate: Java SE or Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE Programmer
- Spring Professional certification (VMware)
- Experience with Linux, Bash scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Familiarity with distributed systems design patterns
- Experience with additional languages such as Python
