The Role

This JAVA Engineer role is required for our client in the financial industry, where you will have access to cutting-edge technologies such as Vert.x, Java, Microservices and Kafka, among others, within the Payment Domain.

Responsibilities

• Code analysis and design
• Application development and integration
• Application testing, debugging and troubleshooting
• Platform integration
• Documentation
• Leading conversations with internal and external teams

Essential skills

• Proficient with Vert.x and Spring Framework
• Good knowledge of Spring Boot
• Sound knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with database concepts, especially Couchbase
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins CI-CD for Hydra deployments
• Strong experience in the tokenisation domain and cryptogram tech stack

Desirable skills

• Experience implementing multi-threading, data binding and dependency properties
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as BDD and system testing
• Strong debugging skills
• Proficient with Git commands
