Fullstack Engineer - Remote

We are seeking a talented Fullstack Engineer to join our remote team (US-based), with options to work from Richmond, VA, or Arlington, VA. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and scaling the platforms and products that underpin our innovative financing solutions. Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and technical leaders, you will contribute to the development of customer-facing applications, internal tools, and backend systems that support vital business operations. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical problems, designing reliable and scalable systems, and working in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to work across a modern technology stack, participate in both new product development and system enhancements, and influence the evolution of our platform. Success in this role requires curiosity, strong technical fundamentals, and the ability to quickly adapt to new codebases while continuously improving existing systems., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support our financing platform

• Create integrations with internal systems and third-party service providers
• Develop customer-facing applications and internal tools utilizing modern frontend technologies
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to best practices
• Participate in designing distributed systems, workflows, and event-driven architectures
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing platform performance, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, compliance, and engineering to deliver high-quality solutions
• Engage in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews to ensure quality and consistency
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability practices to maintain system health
• Support operational excellence through troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis
• Identify and address technical debt and opportunities for system improvements
• Contribute to security, compliance, and audit processes as required
• Leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted engineering tools, to improve productivity and code quality

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in building backend services using Golang
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP/JSON protocols, authentication mechanisms, and API testing tools
• Experience developing web applications with modern frontend frameworks such as React and TypeScript
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments, preferably AWS and Kubernetes
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Ability to navigate and contribute effectively to existing codebases and new systems
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of technical solutions
