Job description

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with automotive industry and customer quality requirements.
  • Lead internal audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to verify compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Manage quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and quality manuals.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action initiatives to address internal and customer-related quality issues.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Serve as a key liaison between operations, engineering, and customer-facing teams to align on quality objectives and issue resolution.

How You Will Do It

  • Administer and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead internal quality audits, ensuring effective follow-up on findings and corrective actions.
  • Manage document control processes, including the review, approval, and update of quality-related documentation.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) processes.
  • Utilize quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to improve process performance and product quality.
  • Apply problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa to resolve quality concerns.
  • Monitor key quality metrics and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support customer quality requirements and ensure effective communication across manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 2-4 years of quality assurance or quality engineering experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and APQP methodologies.
  • Experience with quality tools including FMEA, PPAP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Strong problem-solving skills utilizing methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
  • Experience conducting internal quality audits and managing corrective action processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and quality system enhancements.
