Job description

  • Provide level one support and resolution for software, hardware, printers, phones, and other IT peripheral issues either through phone, in person, or using remote access technologies, in support of leads and receive direction from the Support Desk Supervisor or general direction from the Chief information Officer (CIO)
  • Assist with A/V services, webinars and online meetings using standard software and hardware
  • Assist or work as part of the project team on priority projects, including but not limited to asset inventory project, telecoms project, hoteling project, HAM & SAM project, printer refresh project, and other related Service Desk projects
  • Ensure that computer and peripheral equipment are in working order and have all required software updates to maintain hardware and software compliance to security standards
  • Assist with setting up, deploying desktop images, moving and/or replacement of IT equipment, either on scheduled time frames or as necessary
  • Answer customer questions regarding system procedures, system status, and downtime procedures, 3. Service Desk often manages multiple requests with competing priorities.   • IT Service Desk & Call Center Experience
  • IT Service Management (ITSM) Experience
  • IT Support and Troubleshooting Experience
  • IT Hardware & Peripheral Troubleshooting
  • IT User provisioning and account management
  • Reading and writing ability to effectively communicate complex issues, This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Benefits & conditions

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
