Job description

Shepherd Neame have an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, an interest in technology and data, and a desire to develop a career supporting business-critical systems across retail, hospitality and hotels. As a Retail Systems Assistant, you’ll help support and maintain the technology platforms used across our pubs, hotels and support functions. You’ll work closely with operational teams, suppliers and team members across the business to ensure systems are configured correctly, data is accurate and users receive excellent support.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supporting the day-to-day administration and configuration of retail, hospitality and hotel systems.
  • Maintaining accurate system data, including products, pricing, menus, sites and reporting structures.
  • Investigating and resolving system queries from pubs, hotels and support office teams.
  • Supporting site openings, acquisitions, disposals and operational changes.
  • Assisting with testing, implementation and roll-out activities for new systems and enhancements.
  • Creating and maintaining system documentation, guides and support materials.
  • Working with team members and third-party suppliers to improve system performance and user experience.
  • Supporting the business as it prepares to transition from existing platforms into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS Central.
  • Helping ensure systems and data are ready to support future reporting, loyalty, digital commerce and operational requirements.
  • Participating in a weekend support rota alongside the wider Retail Systems team.

Requirements

  • An interest in retail, hospitality, hotel or business systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively whilst also managing your own workload.
  • A logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Experience of hospitality, EPOS, bookings, stock, finance or hotel systems would be advantageous, but not essential

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 08:30-17:00)
