Job description

Design, develop, and test Java-based applications, RESTful web services, and microservices in an Agile Linux environment.
Integrate agentic AI workflows and coding agents for automated test generation and multi-file code refactoring.
Utilize modern Spring frameworks, AWS/Azure cloud technologies, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Elasticsearch., * Design, develop, and implement complex Java-based software capabilities, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
Integrate advanced AI coding agents into daily workflows for autonomous feature delivery, code refactoring, and test automation.
Perform troubleshooting, testing, and lifecycle maintenance of computer-based software systems.
Utilize configuration management tools including Git, Maven, and Nexus in Linux environments.
Collaborate within an Agile team setting utilizing modern collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Telework: This position offers a hybrid work schedule requiring an average of two days per week on-site in San Antonio, TX.

Requirements

Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret or Top Secret clearances are a strong plus., * 5 years experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
