Java Full-Stack Technical Lead

We’re looking for a technical lead who can own end-to-end delivery on a cross-functional, multi-platform system - from architecture documentation through production support - while coaching a scrum team on Java and cloud development practices.

What You’ll Do

• Lead technical design, development, and implementation across a cross-functional, multi-platform application
• Coach the scrum team on Java and cloud development (Spring Boot, PCF, frontend/backend integration)
• Own code quality: reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices across the team’s deliverables
• Lead proof-of-concept work to establish reusable development patterns
• Produce high-level design, system design, and architecture documentation; secure architect team approval
• Act as security champion - evaluate and resolve vulnerabilities, close security gaps
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo) into PCF environments
• Coordinate with offshore development and QA teams as needed
• Advise peers and junior engineers on technical problem-solving and delivery timelines
• Partner with Product Owner, SME, and Business Analyst on solution design

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related field
• 5-7+ years total software engineering experience
• 3-5+ years hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST/microservices, and cloud-based development
• Experience coaching junior/staff-level developers
• Strong system design experience, mid-scale to enterprise
• Proven ability to translate architecture/leadership goals into technical design docs and delivery roadmaps
• Full SDLC experience, including production delivery
• Atlassian suite (Bitbucket, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience with Git-based code management

Preferred

• Front-end development experience (Angular or similar)
• Exposure to test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD)
• Hands-on experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry
