Job description

Hawai’i’s largest food distribution company is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Manager, IT Operations & Resilience, leading service delivery, incident response, change management, and recovery across a complex, real-world logistics environment. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this hands-on leader will own the operating discipline behind technology used by warehouse, delivery, field, and corporate teams while partnering closely with the Senior Systems Engineer, the organization’s senior technical authority.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead IT operations and own the operating calendar for maintenance, patching, vulnerability remediation, access reviews, recovery testing, lifecycle planning, and renewals
  • Serve as incident commander for significant technology disruptions, coordinating employees and vendors, communicating with leadership and affected teams, and leading post-incident reviews
  • Run practical change-management and documentation practices that keep production work planned, communicated, tested, reversible, and supportable by more than one person
  • Own the technology resilience program, including documented recovery objectives, restoration testing, failover exercises, and business-continuity tabletop exercises
  • Lead service delivery and develop the Information Technology Help Desk Specialist, setting clear standards for responsiveness, ownership, communication, and follow-through
  • Coordinate HFA’s Managed Service Provider and technology vendors across escalations, planned work, service quality, operational risk, and renewals

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or infrastructure, including 3+ years leading employees, major incidents, or service delivery
  • Demonstrated success directing incident response and service recovery in multi-site or operationally intensive environments
  • A track record of building practical operating processes across incident, change, request, asset, and continuity management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server, endpoint management, networking, identity, and cybersecurity operations
  • Experience developing employees and coordinating Managed Service Providers and technology vendors, with the ability to explain business impact clearly to executives and frontline teams
  • Availability for planned after-hours maintenance, emergency response, and regular travel among company locations

Benefits & conditions

HFA offers competitive, people-first benefits designed to support you and your ‘ohana, including:

  • 100% employer-paid medical coverage for team members, with subsidized family coverage
  • Dental, vision, and preventive-care benefits
  • 401(k) retirement plan with up to a 4% employer match and immediate vesting
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and floating holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program with free, confidential counseling
  • Horizon Day-a paid day each year to volunteer in the community
  • Wellness initiatives, including gym-membership discounts and health programs

Compensation

Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000 annually

Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this role at the time of posting.

Why This Role

You’ll have direct ownership over the operating discipline behind technology people depend on in the real world-where outages can spoil product, strand freight, and disrupt stores. This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate, lasting impact on HFA’s resilience and on the systems that help keep Hawai’i fed and moving. Share Job
