Job description

The Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) is recruiting to fill an Information Technology Technician (ITT) position in the Computer Services Bureau. Working Conditions This position is located at POST headquarters in West Sacramento, CA. The office is located in a two-story building with a business park setting. Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position. This position is Hybrid and may be eligible for telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment., A SOQ is required and must be submitted with your State application. The SOQ must address all specified questions and be typed, no more than two pages in length, single-spaced, using 12-point Arial font. Each question must be listed followed by its response. Answers must be clear, complete, and specific. Resumes and/or cover letters do not replace the SOQ. Applications submitted without responses to the questions below may not receive further consideration. A resume is required and must be included with the application and SOQ. Questions:

  • Describe your knowledge, skills, and experience that directly relate to the duties outlined in the Duty Statement, including website content management, customer support, communication, and accessibility compliance.
  • Describe how you prioritize and manage your workload when handling multiple assignments and tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Describe a specific project or assignment where you used technical and analytical skills to improve a website, process, or customer service function. What was your role, and what was the outcome?
