Job description

Excellent opportunity opens up to join a fast-growing UK bank as a Finance Systems Manager, taking ownership of a major ERP transformation. You will play a central role in the implementation of Workday, driving delivery across Finance and IT and shaping how finance systems operate across the business. This is a highly visible role with real ownership, where you will influence system design, integration, and process improvement at scale., * Manage and maintain accounting software and systems, ensuring alignment with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.

  • Lead the integration of new financial systems and enhancements, ensuring seamless transition and data accuracy.
  • Conduct reviews of financial systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce best practices for financial data management.
  • Provide training and support across finance team members on accounting systems and tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Drive documentation of system processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Operates in line with the Bank’s Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.

Requirements

  • Have advanced knowledge of accounting software, financial reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams but with good ability to work independently when required.
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Be a problem solver and have a strong drive to move things forward.
  • Be able to maintain a backlog and prioritise workloads as required.
  • Have a methodical approach and a keen understanding of IT (from either a technical or developer perspective) as the role has a high degree of interaction with the IT department.
