IT Engineer

Engineering work across customer installations and internal systems. Jobs are assigned to you from survey through to handover and you are responsible for seeing them through.

• Install, configure and commission routers, switches, access points and PtP/PtMP links
• Site surveys and WiFi design for commercial and hospitality sites
• Second and third-line fault diagnosis, from customer premises to core network
• Work on Starlink, SD-WAN, private 5G, LoRaWAN and IoT deployments
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams and asset records
• Out-of-hours support rota

• Experience in an IT engineering or network support role
• IP networking: routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, DHCP and DNS
• Practical wireless configuration and troubleshooting
• Methodical fault-finding and the ability to work unsupervised on site
• A record of completing assigned work without needing to be chased. We are a small team and unfinished jobs return as callouts.
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Vendor certifications (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Cambium, Peplink, MikroTik, CompTIA or equivalent)
• Fixed wireless or satellite experience; RF planning and link budgeting
