Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful IT Technician to join our technology support team. In this role, you will be the frontline problem solver, ensuring our IT infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will help maintain robust network systems, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and deliver exceptional technical support to our users. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment where your skills make a real impact., * Operate and support the our IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliable day-to-day business operations.

  • Manage EPOS/POS equipment, including tills, barcode scanners, receipt printers and payment technology.
  • Configure and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks, including routers, switches, access points and internet connectivity.
  • Assess system performance, diagnose technical faults and implement corrective actions to minimise disruption.
  • Carry out scheduled system maintenance, software updates and security checks.
  • Manage routine backups and assist with system restoration and data recovery when required.
  • Support IT-connected CCTV and security systems, conducting technical checks and coordinating with external contractors.
  • Resolve operational incidents affecting EPOS, payment processing, network connectivity, online ordering and other critical business systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with strong technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, and VPN setup.
  • Knowledge of hardware components including desktops, laptops, servers, switches, routers, and peripherals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable language for users at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze issues quickly using strong problem-solving skills while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
