Job description

  • Provide comprehensive desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware components including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
  • Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and switches.
  • Support operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Administer Active Directory for user account management, permissions, and group policies; utilize tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for software deployment and updates.
  • Monitor network security measures by configuring firewalls, analyzing traffic patterns with analysis skills, and maintaining security protocols.
  • Utilize ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy to document incidents, track resolutions, and improve service delivery.
  • Assist with help desk operations by providing clear communication and timely technical solutions to users’ inquiries.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN configuration, VPN setup, and firewall management.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux.
  • Hands-on experience supporting desktop hardware components and troubleshooting software issues.
  • Familiarity with enterprise management tools like SCCM or equivalent for software deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Ability to analyze problems quickly and develop effective solutions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of IT support best practices using ticketing platforms like ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus but not mandatory.
