Job description
We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to take absolute ownership of a massive, mission-critical cloud environment.
- Design the Target-State Architecture: Establish the multi-account structure, identity access management (IAM), network hubs, and the central landing zone for a distributed enterprise system.
- Govern the Cloud Cost Model (FinOps): Take control of cloud expenditure. Establish strict resource tagging, showback models, and capacity strategies to optimize and protect the IT budget.
- Enforce Policy-as-Code: Architect zero-trust alignment and codify automated security guardrails that satisfy rigorous compliance standards (such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001) without bottlenecking developer velocity.
- Lead Modernization: Dictate what legacy workloads migrate as-is, what gets re-architected into containerized microservices, and orchestrate the exact sequence of deployment.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of heavy infrastructure or software engineering, with a proven track record of designing and deploying environments above the single-project level.
- Platform Mastery: Deep technical capability in major public clouds (AWS or Microsoft Azure), including mastery of native networking, routing, and IAM constructs.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Uncompromising mastery of Terraform to build, deploy, and govern repeatable, modular environments.
- Container Orchestration: Hands-on ability to architect and deploy Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) systems at scale.
Benefits & conditions
Pay: $135,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
