Job description
BEPC Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Principal Experience Designer to support our clients Customer Experience (CX) Suite initiatives in South San Francisco, CA. This role will serve as a strategic individual contributor and subject matter expert responsible for driving UX/UI and CX design excellence across digital products and capabilities.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in experience design, product strategy, and cross-functional collaboration while helping mentor junior designers and influence organizational design maturity. This position is ideal for a design leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced, and highly regulated environments., * Drive UX/UI and CX design strategy across digital product initiatives within the CX Suite.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including visioning, roadmap development, execution, and impact measurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align business goals with customer-centered design solutions.
- Design intuitive, scalable, and engaging digital experiences that improve customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior designers through design reviews, coaching, and best practices.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams to ensure adherence to governance and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to and evolve design systems, workflows, and design standards.
- Foster innovation and experimentation to continuously improve product capabilities and customer experiences.
- Support Agile methodologies and advocate for iterative, user-focused design practices.
- Navigate ambiguity and evolving priorities while maintaining strategic focus and execution excellence.
Requirements
Do you have experience in UI/UX design?, Do you have a Master of Business Administration?, * Bachelors degree in Business, Technology, Operations, Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 7 years in Experience Design, Product Design, UX Design, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing the full product lifecycle from strategy through delivery and measurement.
- Strong UX/UI design expertise with experience developing digital products and capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring and coaching designers and contributing to team development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to drive change and influence decision-making.
- Experience working in Agile environments or mentoring teams on Agile best practices.
- Experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams within regulated environments.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven ability to adapt within evolving or ambiguous business environments.
- Experience building and managing design systems., * Advanced degree such as an MBA or related graduate-level qualification.
- Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong background managing complex initiatives requiring strategic planning and operational execution.
- Knowledge of workflow tools, automation systems, and compliance frameworks.
Portfolio & Interview Expectations
Candidates should be prepared to present and discuss their design work during the interview process. We are looking for individuals who can clearly articulate both their design thinking and business impact. Candidates should be ready to explain:
- What problem they were trying to solve
- What research, insights, or strategic thinking informed the design
- What tools, frameworks, or methodologies were used
- Which aspects of the work they personally owned or contributed to
- How the design improved user experience, business outcomes, or measurable results
- How they collaborated with developers, product managers, researchers, or other designers throughout the process
Candidates should be comfortable walking through portfolio examples and confidently explaining what they designed, why they made specific decisions, and the impact of their work., * product design, UX design or related field.: 7 years (Required)
