Job description
We are seeking an accomplished IT Analyst IV (Systems Administrator IV) to provide high-level technical leadership, engineering, and governance across the enterprise Microsoft 365 platform. This role requires a strategic Subject Matter Expert capable of driving end-to-end platform administration, optimizing collaboration architecture, and maintaining robust security and licensing structures. Joining a foundational team undergoing strategic evolution, the successful candidate will take total ownership of platform operations, establish operational best practices, consult with departmental stakeholders on emerging capabilities, and serve as an escalation lead to ensure optimal reliability and compliance., * Lead Platform Governance: Drive end-to-end administration, engineering, licensing, and governance across the Microsoft 365 suite, with an emphasis on Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
- Drive Strategic Roadmap & Change Management: Monitor the Microsoft 365 platform roadmap, evaluate software additions for organizational applicability and security compatibility, and present new feature capabilities to business units.
- Manage Enterprise Identity & Access: Enforce Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, privileged access controls, identity governance, and least-privilege licensing via Microsoft Entra ID.
- Optimize License Allocation: Oversee license management and exercise prudent authority regarding non-essential license requests to maximize platform efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Strengthen Security & Compliance: Maintain enterprise platform security utilizing Microsoft Purview, eDiscovery, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), retention protocols, and pre-rollout security hardening.
- Provide Tier 3 Support: Resolve high-level technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, execute post-incident reviews, and document procedural solutions to guarantee long-term stability.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Consult with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable Microsoft 365 solutions while delivering user training to drive technology adoption.
Requirements
- Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive IT experience; OR
- Associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive IT experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive IT experience.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expert-level competency in Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Entra ID.
- Operational Availability: Willingness and capability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation outside standard business hours.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of articulating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Purview, Insider Risk Management, and eDiscovery frameworks.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot integration and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience taking ownership of rebuilt or newly restructured enterprise IT environments.
