Job description

  • Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify and address obstacles that hinder team progress and delivery.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to teams and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Manage Agile tools to support backlog refinement and collaboration workflows.
  • Train and mentor teams on Scrum practices and Agile principles to ensure successful adoption.
  • Develop process documentation and training materials to support Agile transformation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and align team efforts with organizational priorities.
  • Act as a liaison between development teams and product leadership to ensure smooth communication and alignment.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join our team on a long-term contract basis in East Lansing, Michigan. This role is key to supporting our organization’s Agile transformation, helping teams transition from traditional methodologies to Scrum practices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering collaboration, mentoring new Scrum Masters, and driving the adoption of Agile principles., * Proven experience as a Scrum Master with a solid understanding of Agile principles.

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification is required.
  • Strong ability to mentor teams transitioning from traditional methods to Agile frameworks.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile practices is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing Agile tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration.
  • Ability to adapt to team dynamics and meet them at their current level of Agile maturity.
  • Experience developing training materials and process documentation for Agile adoption.
