Job description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Kanban Coach to support the In-Store Infrastructure Technology team. This team is responsible for the network and infrastructure that connects retail stores and gas stations to enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong Agile leadership experience with infrastructure-focused teams and hands-on expertise in Kanban methodologies, Scrum practices, and enterprise infrastructure projects.

This role requires someone who can effectively facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach cross-functional teams, manage Kanban workflows, and drive continuous improvement across multiple infrastructure initiatives., * Serve as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams supporting infrastructure projects.

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum best practices, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Manage and optimize Kanban boards, work-in-progress (WIP) limits, task flow, and delivery metrics.
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness, user story refinement, and acceptance criteria.
  • Track sprint progress, identify delivery risks, and remove impediments affecting team productivity.
  • Foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-performing Agile teams.
  • Support conflict resolution and ensure adherence to Agile working agreements.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
  • Work across multiple infrastructure initiatives ranging from small enhancements to enterprise-wide projects.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Kanban Coach.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kanban (Kanban Boards, WIP Limits, Flow Management, Task Cards).
  • Experience leading Agile teams supporting Infrastructure Projects including:
  • Network Infrastructure
  • Firewalls
  • Switches
  • Windows Servers
  • Unix/Linux Environments
  • Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and Agile planning activities.
  • Strong backlog refinement, user story creation, and sprint tracking experience.
  • Excellent coaching, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting multiple Agile teams simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ServiceNow Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP).
  • Infrastructure, Networking, or IT Operations background.
  • Experience with Agile metrics, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of Agile estimation and planning techniques.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or Kanban Management Professional (KMP) are preferred.
