Job description

Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests across Houston-area Mint Dentistry locations. * Manage incoming calls, emails, chats, and remote helpdesk tickets from Mint users, ensuring timely and professional responses.

  • Receive, prioritize, document, and actively resolve end user requests in person, by phone, chat, or email.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and clinical workstations.
  • Monitor the helpdesk ticketing queue and process tickets first-in, first-out based on priority.
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and adhere to communication and resolution timetables.
  • Assist with on-boarding of equipment for new employees, including setup of operating systems and standard software.
  • Perform routine Windows OS updates, patching, and basic security maintenance.
  • Assist with disposal and retirement of obsolete assets per the site disposal policy.
  • Travel between Houston-area clinic locations to provide on-site support as needed.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff in a clear and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and inventory changes.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, professional relationship with clinic staff and co-workers.
  • Stay current with supported systems, applications, and IT procedures.

Requirements

Mint Dentistry is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Helpdesk Technician to support our Houston-area clinical locations. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hands-on IT support experience, a solid grasp of Windows environments, and a passion for solving problems and helping people. This is a regional, field-based position covering Houston-area Mint Dentistry locations., Experience working in a HIPAA-regulated or healthcare environment.

  • Familiarity with Active Directory user and device management.
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, batch).
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification.
  • Associate’s Degree in an IT-related field.
