Job description

Designing cloud solutions across Azure, AWS and GCP, translating business requirements into scalable, secure architectures
Collaborating with development teams to establish API standards, microservices patterns and distributed system design principles
Architecting containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes, supporting CI/CD pipelines and automation
Advising on infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and similar tools, enabling repeatable, version-controlled deployments
Supporting the integration and modernisation of enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC, including SAP RISE cloud solutions
Evaluating technology choices-including .NET/ASP.NET, Java/Spring Boot, Python and data pipeline tools-and recommending approaches aligned with business goals
Documenting solution designs using industry standards such as UML and BPMN
Mentoring team members on cloud architecture principles and best practices, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

Requirements

Proven experience designing cloud solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, APIs and distributed systems
Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices
Understanding of SQL databases and data architecture
Experience with at least one modern development stack (e.g. .NET/ASP.NET, Java/Spring Boot, Python)
Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-have

AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent cloud certification
Experience with SAP cloud solutions (SAP RISE, S/4HANA)
Knowledge of data quality, data pipelines and analytics tools such as Power BI
Linux and Windows system administration experience
Familiarity with security concepts such as DMZ architecture and network segmentation
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools beyond Terraform (e.g. CloudFormation, Bicep)
