Cloud Solutions Architect

• Designing and architecting cloud solutions across Azure, AWS or GCP, aligned to organisational requirements
• Evaluating and recommending cloud platforms, services and technologies to support application modernisation
• Working with development teams to implement microservices architectures and containerised solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
• Establishing and optimising CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Supporting the integration and deployment of enterprise systems, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP RISE implementations
• Designing distributed systems, APIs and data pipelines that meet performance, scalability and quality standards
• Collaborating across teams to define cloud governance, security and operational standards
• Contributing to technical reviews and architecture decisions across multiple workstreams, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP
• Strong working knowledge of microservices, APIs, distributed systems and modern application architecture
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language or platform such as .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
• Understanding of data pipelines, data quality and SQL
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrable experience

Nice-to-have

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent cloud certification
• Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML or other architecture and design methodologies
• Experience with Linux, Windows administration or scripting languages such as Bash
• Exposure to data visualisation tools such as Power BI
• Understanding of network architecture, firewalls or DMZ configuration
