Cloud Architect

This role could involve working with enterprise clients and internal teams to architect, design and implement cloud-native solutions that support business objectives across sectors including financial services, technology and engineering. You could be partnering with cross-functional stakeholders-solution designers, infrastructure teams, security and operations-to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable cloud environments., * Designing end-to-end cloud architectures using Azure and AWS, supporting microservices and distributed systems at scale

• Leading technical design workshops with stakeholders to define cloud strategy, infrastructure topology and integration patterns
• Advising on containerisation, orchestration and deployment automation using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
• Architecting data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integration across enterprise systems including SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC
• Translating business and functional requirements into detailed cloud infrastructure specifications, using tools such as Terraform and diagramming approaches (UML, BPMN)
• Collaborating with security, compliance and operations teams to embed governance, resilience and disaster recovery into designs
• Mentoring technical teams on cloud best practices, architectural patterns and emerging technologies
• Supporting API-first and microservices strategies, integrating with existing systems and legacy platforms, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

• Demonstrable experience designing and delivering cloud solutions on Azure and AWS in enterprise environments
• Deep technical knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Strong understanding of API design, integration patterns and modern application frameworks (.NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot)
• Working knowledge of data platforms, data pipelines and SQL
• Ability to engage with security, compliance and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable, secure, resilient designs
• Professional communication skills and experience translating technical concepts for business stakeholders
• Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or equivalent cloud architecture credential
• Experience with SAP RISE, SAP S/4HANA or similar enterprise cloud transformation programmes
• Familiarity with Power BI, data quality frameworks or advanced analytics platforms
• Background in Linux, Windows administration or network infrastructure (F5, DMZ concepts)
• Experience with GCP or multi-cloud strategy
• Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as CSDR
